Vesak Day celebrates the day of Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. Generous supporters and friends from Kuala Lumpur invited His Eminence Shyalpa Tenzin Rinpoche and 30 monks from Shyalpa Monastery to conduct seven days of puja. On May 18, a charity luncheon was held for the Mahasiddha Sanctuary for Universal Peace. On Vesak Day, May 19, a Shower of Blesssings Puja was performed.
Social activist Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye accepted the role of Peace Ambassador for the Mahasiddha Sanctuary for Universal Peace in Malaysia.
I am honored to have Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye represent the Mahasiddha Sanctuary for Universal Peace as Peace Ambassador in Malaysia. The Mahasiddha Sanctuary in Lumbini, the blessed birthplace of Lord Buddha, will honor the enlightened one’s fearless engagement and compassionate action in the world for the benefit and welfare of all sentient beings. As a committed social activist, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye is a perfect representative for the Universal Peace Sanctuary, which will foster peace and compassionate action among individuals, communities and nations around the world.
